Legal Aid serves a central role in Nebraska’s civil legal aid delivery system, helping low-income Nebraskans identify their legal needs and find assistance. Last year, Legal Aid provided free civil legal aid that impacted over 25,000 low-income Nebraskans through over 11,000 cases. With a staff of over 40 attorneys and offices in eight locations, Legal Aid “makes equal justice happen.”

Mental Health Association of Nebraska (MHA-NE)
MHA-NE, Mental Health Association of Nebraska, was incorporated in 2001. We are a completely peer operated, participant driven organization that provides a variety of different programs available to individuals with mental health and/or substance use issues. MHA-NE is currently the only nonprofit peer run organization in Nebraska and offers alternative options for those experiences mental health and/or substance use issues as well as crisis prevention.  We offer many resources online so you can obtain information from the comfort of your home.  Of course, it is sometimes still necessary to come see us in person and we appreciate your visit. Midwest Housing Equity Group
Midwest Housing Equity Group, Inc. (MHEG) was created in 1993 with the objective to raise equity capital to invest into affordable rental housing through use of the federal low income housing tax credit program as defined in Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code. Twenty-five years later, MHEG has become a successful and experienced tax credit syndicator servicing the Midwest. Since our inception, MHEG has become a leader in affordable housing and has developed extensive skills and knowledge by working with a wide variety of housing types and populations. National Equity Fund, Inc.
Chicago-based nonprofit, National Equity Fund, Inc., is a leading syndicator of low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC) and an affiliate of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation. NEF has played an integral role in creating affordable housing options, revitalizing communities and strengthening local economies for more than 30 years. Through its partnerships with developers and investors, it has invested $15.3 billion in 2,687 LIHTC developments, creating 176,804 affordable homes for low-income individuals and families as well as 215,701 jobs nationwide. Nebraska Children and Families Foundation 
Nebraska Children and Families Foundation funds and builds community collaborations. We work with all the critical players in a community – service providers, educators, health care professionals, law enforcement, businesses, government agencies, and most importantly, parents and youth. Together, the collaboration commits to common goals, measurements and practices, working as one toward the end goal of improving child well-being. By using a collective impact approach, we’ve been able to work with more communities, teaching them how to create permanent change for children. Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
The mission of the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is to promote and advocate for Nebraskans who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind or Hard of Hearing. As a proactive and reactive state agency, the Commission strives to enhance collaboration by creating support, cooperation, and understanding to achieve fairness and equality in all aspects of the mainstream for all Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and Hard of Hearing Nebraskans. Examples of concerns related to housing for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or deaf- blind may include lack or denial of: the ability to keep trained assistant animals; visible doorbells, smoke detectors, or alarm systems, and/or an effective method of communication when interacting as a landlord or housing management company

The 16th annual Housing Innovation Marketplace was held on March 13th and 14th, 2018 at the La Vista Conference Center.  Attendance grew this year with more than 420 participants from 30 Nebraska counties and 37 communities and 20 states.  We had a record 39 exhibitors and more than 85 speakers covering Single Family, Multi Family, Technical, Homelessness and Workforce Housing topics.
