Homebuyers & Renters
The Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA) has served Nebraska homebuyers since the 1980’s. During June of 2021, also known as "National Homeownership Month", NIFA reached the threshold of providing low interest rate home loans to over 95,000 Nebraskans! This milestone is a major accomplishment for NIFA as part of its mission to grow Nebraska communities through affordable housing.
“We are proud to have made such an important difference in the lives of people across the state of Nebraska. It has been rewarding for our team to assist first-time homebuyers in achieving the dream of homeownership and increasing their personal wealth. This milestone would not have been possible without our many partners and their dedication to homebuyers in Nebraska.” says Jacki Young, Chief Homeownership Officer at NIFA.
In 2021 NIFA has reached several other milestones including:
Shannon Harner, Executive Director of NIFA stated, “Working together is a key hallmark of Nebraskans and it is due to NIFA’s close collaboration with lenders, developers, non-profits and agricultural leaders across the State that we are able to continue making a positive difference for families, communities and companies across Nebraska.”
NIFA, the housing finance agency for Nebraska, provides opportunities for homeownership, multifamily rental development, beginning farmer and ranchers’ loans, and community development programs.
