The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) has identified 205 Nebraska communities that meet the qualifying criteria for Distressed Cities Technical Assistance. If your community is on the list, you are eligible to request assistance directly from HUD on or after September 16, 2019.
To request assistance, follow the instructions contained in this PDF document. This information is provided as a courtesy, and DED cannot submit a request on your behalf. This Excel sheet contains data sources and an explanation of how DED’s calculations were made. If cities need to prove to HUD that they are eligible, the spreadsheet can be used to demonstrate eligibility. If you have questions about HUD TA, you may submit them to distressedcities@hud.gov.
