Eviction in Nebraska: Data & News

NIFA Partners,

Each year, NIFA engages Western Economic Services (WES) to compile and assemble the data for the creation of NIFA’s Profile of Nebraska and Nebraska Dashboard. As part of this effort, WES does an annual survey of property managers throughout Nebraska.

To measure the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Nebraska’s Rental Housing Market, the 2020 Survey of Rental Properties asked property managers to report on how the pandemic has affected their properties and tenants.

Approximately, 20 percent of the landlords that were surveyed noted that they have tenants that are either having a hard time paying the full amount or not paying any rent.
