NIFA provides community outreach and technical assistance to housing providers, community organizations, community officials, housing advocates, developers, builders and lenders to initiate, facilitate and expedite the development of affordable housing in the state of Nebraska. NIFA's technical assistance and outreach provide information of the financial resources available in the State; various programs NIFA has to offer; and the process by which housing development occurs.
NIFA partners with community-based organizations such as non-profits, local government, housing authorities and community development groups to bring NIFA programs to communities throughout the state in an effort to empower local citizens to design, develop and implement plans for addressing the communities' housing and economic development needs in order to improve the quality of life for all.

Our annual conference brings together more than 400 community leaders and housing partners from across Nebraska and the country to discuss affordable housing and community development.
This dynamic conference offers educational sessions and networking opportunities with colleagues. Come visit an array of great exhibitors and experience an environment where financial resource providers, community representatives and developers come together to stimulate the creation of affordable housing.
Community Development Conversations, sponsored by NIFA, are scheduled at the request of a community to discuss housing and community development needs and identify resources.
Local government, community and business leaders are invited to attend and participate in a discussion focused specifically on the host community. In partnership with other housing and community development resource providers, a customized presentation is given on potential local, state and federal resources that are available to meet the community’s needs.
