Community Engagement

Outreach Partnership Testimony

The Outreach Partnership Program supports nonprofit organizations and helps increase their long-term capacity to meet community needs including affordable housing in Nebraska.

"Words cannot describe how the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority has impacted the Central Nebraska Economic Development Inc.’s success in providing quality housing programs in our 14-county region. The funding that NIFA has provided through their Outreach program helped us get started in providing our housing programs. The additional funds to address our Disaster Housing needs following the 2019 floods has been critical for our hard-hit communities. Our organization has assisted our counties and communities in applying for Housing Study grant funds, and we have been awarded LIHTC tax credit funds for our Credits-to-Own housing project in O’Neill. But it’s not just the funding…it is, and always has been, the support of NIFA’s tremendous staff that have guided us to where we are today. I can always call upon NIFA staff with a question or an idea, and receive their support and guidance on best practices and great community service advice. Many thanks to NIFA for your continued support of housing in our Central Nebraska region!!"
